The Miller House
The Miller House, an early nineteenth century red brick townhouse in downtown Hagerstown has been the home of four families over a period of about 160 years. It is now the headquarters of the Washington
County Historical Society, which has offices and a reference library on the lower level. Upstairs the house museum is furnished in the style of the 1820s.

Office Hours
The old kitchen with a fireplace for cooking is a favorite of visitors. It features an 1830 iron stove from the J.R. Jones Hagerstown Foundry.
Peter Bell made pottery here from 1804
until 1823. A large collection of pottery by three generations of the Bell family, as well as other potters from the area may be seen upstairs.

Tours last at least 1 hour. Tours at special times for large groups by request. No public restrooms
The Miller House may be rented for special occasions.
Admission
Adults $3.00 Age 60 & up $2.00 School children free. Historical Society Members free.Additional fee for special exhibits.
